Regional Public Safety Battalion 7 headquarters is located at Camp Ceperino Genovia, Bgy Bahay, Sibonga, Cebu. It used to be the Headquarters of Regional Mobile Group 7, 342nd Philippine Constabulary Company in the 70’s and the 344th PC Company in the 80’s. The Regional Public Safety Battalion 7 headquarters is situated in the southern part of Cebu province, about fifty-one (51) kilometers from Cebu City.
The Regional Public Safety Battalion 7 is the main tactical maneuver force of PRO 7 for Internal Security Operation and Counter-Terrorism. Primarily, its main task is to address the problem of insurgency in Central Visayas in support and/or in tandem with Central Command of the Armed Forces of the Philippines. RPSB7 also performs law enforcement functions in support to the territorial police units’ anti-criminality campaign.
At the instance of PRO 7 headquarters, RPSB7 can be disposed and utilized in crowd control, civil disturbance management, disaster and relief operation, rescue operation and other social activities and emergency situations.
The RPSB 7 logo is based on the PNP motto of “To serve and protect”. The “upper arched lines above the shield” corresponds to the extending arm denoting readiness to serve and the shield readiness to protect.
On the other hand, the number “7” corresponds to PRO7, the “four (4) stars” refers to the four (4) provinces that make up Central Visayas, namely: Bohol, Cebu, Negros Oriental and Siquijor, and the “lighting”, that of immediate mobilization, rapid response and movement of personnel and response to eventualities.
